Yesterday, we went to the open house that was held in the Theather District in Houston. The girls got to see their first ballet, which they loved. They especially loved clapping after each performance. Afterwards, they had fun stuff for the kids to do, like face painting which only Maddie wanted to do. They also had an area where you could play dress-up and color. The girls loved it....so did Jake, as you can see.

Makeup time for the girls........Doesn't Olivia look beautiful?!?

Here are some more pics of the girls, being girls. It has been kind of rainy and muggy outside so we have been sticking around the house.

2 weeks until preschool starts......lots to do before that. Both girls have dentist appts. tomorrow. And then Doctor appts. on Thursday for a check up. I'm curious how Olivia is going to do at the dentist, I'll be surprised if she will even open her mouth for him, we will see how that all works out. I'm not too worried about Madelyn, I thinks she'll be fine. The girls are about 15 1/2 months apart which is close, but 15 1/2 months is a lot of time, they do a lot of growing in that time, both physically and mentally. Well, hope you enjoy the pics and I hope everyone is having a great week.

This weekend we went to Kemah to play on grandpa's sailboat. We also went to the Boardwalk there for a bit because the girls wanted to ride the merry-go-round. The weather wasn't so great in the morning, it poured and poured but it turned out to be a pretty nice day at the boat. The girls really loved being around the water.

Here is Olivia today at naptime. I went in to check on her and I found that she emptied her stuffed animal bin and fell asleep in the middle of it. This is the first time she's fallen asleep on her bedroom floor. I thought it was kinda funny to see. She slept for over an hour on the floor. Needless to say, she needed that nap she was a bit cranky this morning.

On another note, everything is going pretty well here. School starts in a few short weeks and I'm getting ready to take advantage of the tax free weekend this weekend. The girls are getting some school supplies this weekend. Olivia is excited to pick out her new back pack.

I'm getting a little nervous as the first day of school approaches. I'm not sure how either girl is going to react to me leaving. And, I'm not too sure how I'll hold up either. I'll keep you guys posted on how that all goes down when the time comes. Hope everyone is having a nice week.
