We all got hair cut this week, so I thought I'd post our new hair cuts. Madelyn finally got hers fixed from the last hair cut she got that was awful, the lady had no idea what she was doing so I brought Maddie to the girl that does my hair and she fixed Maddies hair and also cut and straightened Olivia's hair, the girls had fun getting their hair "did"

Also, I threw in a slightly older pic of Jake and the girls because I love that pic of them together. Jake will be home tonight, he's been traveling quite a bit with work. The girls miss him, it's a little harder now that they are older and they understand that he'll be gone for a few days and it's hard on them at times. I also think they get tired of me and want their daddy. Jake has started bringing them something when he gets back from his trips so I think that helps them a bit, I know you shouldn't bribe your kids, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Hey everyone, sorry we haven't been good about updating our blog. Things around here have been so busy and crazy. I'm finishing up summer school, Maddie has been feeling badly since June, but I think all of that is finally resolving. Jake has been so busy with work, hes been traveling a lot with work and keeping busy which is good job security.
I only have this one pic that I took of the girls when we were visiting up in Woodstock back in May. I just love this pic of the girls, they look so peaceful.....I can't believe how big they are getting I swear some days they look bigger than the day before. It goes by so fast, I have to take time sometimes and soak it all in. I'll admit, I love my girls and I love that I get to stay home with them but it is a handful. I have my days where I feel completely overwhelmed and wonder if I'm "raising them right". I can't believe that Madelyn is going to be 5 next month. She doesn't know it yet, but she missed the cut off to start kindergarten this fall. Her birthday is Sept. 21 and a child needs to be 5 by Sept. 1st so she will be starting kindergarten next year, at first I was kinda bummed for her, now I'm secretly happy that I get one more year with her, even though she is so ready for kindergarten....she is a sharp little girl. Actually, if things work out well, I'll be starting nursing school when she starts kindergarten, so we get to start school together. Speaking of school, Jake has been so wonderful in helping me get on track with school. Jake has been so supportive and helpful it's great. I love my little family and I'm so grateful to have them. I love my husband and my girls, live wouldn't be fulfilling without them.

I promise, more pics to come soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAKE!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU!

If you remember, wish Jake a happy 32nd Birthday today. I'm happy to actually see him on his birthday this year. It seemed that he was always traveling with work that last two years on his birthday. We don't really have any plans for today, but tomorrow we are having some friends and family over for a birthday dinner. I'm going to make Jake's favorite dinner, lasagna. And he wants birthday brownies instead of a birthday cake. So, I just wanted to also wish my husband a very happy birthday and I love you. Have a great day.

The girls wanted to eat lunch outside at their picnic table. Take note the vines that they used to "decorate" the playhouse. I think the vines add just the right touch, along with the chalk pictures.

Hello all!! Before you wonder where our other daughter is, or if we sold her?!? Madelyn is still here getting bigger than ever. She is already 4 1/2. I can't believe my baby will be almost ready for school. She is such a sweet beautiful little girl. She is definitely and old soul. I really think she has been here before. She continues to teach me things all of the time. Ok, anyways these pics are from last weekend when Olivia got her mommy and daddy to herself for the night. Madelyn was spending the night at the neighbors house. I think she really enjoyed having us to herself all night and we enjoyed it too. We are going to try to start giving them more "alone" time. I think kids need that one on one attention. We cooked her hotdogs on the grill and she made potato salad with daddy. She likes cooking with her daddy. They do make some pretty good potato salad I must say.
